What’s New in Buckhead
One of Atlanta’s most vibrant neighborhoods, Buckhead is known for its posh culture scene, including dining, nightlife and wellness. It’s no surprise that luxury condos in Buckhead are in high demand, given that most have easy access to unique experiences, chef-driven restaurants and world-class shopping. Here’s what’s new in Buckhead this month.
Amorino Gelato is coming to The Shops Buckhead Atlanta this fall. The gelato chain, known for its rose-shaped scoops of gelato and sorbet, offers a full menu of treats including shakes, café pastries and gelato-filled macarons. Founded by Italian natives Cristiano Sereni and Paolo Benassi, Amorino now has 200 locations worldwide and is currently in 10 different cities in the U.S. This will be the first brick and mortar location in Georgia after a pop-up launched in Lenox Square last year.
WonderRoot, an arts organization working to improve the cultural and social landscape of Atlanta, will reveal its 2016-17 Walthall Artist Fellowship exhibition at The Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia in Buckhead on July 13 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The exhibition, entitled “Building a Ship from the Shipwreck,” will remain on display for public viewing at the museum through Sept. 9.
Harry’s Pizzeria Buckhead will open its fifth location at the end of 2017 at Phipps Plaza. The American neighborhood-styled pizza joint will feature fresh, chef-curated toppings and a tender, quick-fired crust with integrity, like Braised Short Rib named one of America’s Best Pizzas by The Daily Meal.
